Understanding Our Bodywork Suite

At M Health, we believe bodywork should be as evidence-based as any other clinical intervention. Here is what makes our modalities — and our approach — different.

M Health's bodywork suite goes far beyond traditional spa massage. Our modalities are clinical, targeted, and integrated with your broader wellness plan.

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a table-based assisted stretching technique that targets the fascial system — the connective tissue network surrounding every muscle, joint, and organ. FST improves flexibility, reduces pain, and enhances athletic performance more effectively than static stretching.

Cupping Therapy uses suction to decompress tissue, increase blood flow, release fascial adhesions, and accelerate recovery. An ancient modality now backed by modern research, cupping addresses stagnation and tension patterns that manual pressure alone cannot reach.

Deep Tissue and Sports Massage delivers targeted manual therapy addressing specific muscular tension patterns, trigger points, and injury rehabilitation. Myofascial Release applies sustained pressure to fascial restrictions to restore tissue pliability and pain-free movement.

Every modality at M Health is performed by certified, experienced therapists with access to your broader wellness data — making your bodywork session a coordinated clinical intervention, not a standalone treatment.

Why Choose M Health

More Than a Massage

Bodywork at M Health is a clinical service — integrated with your wellness data and designed to produce measurable, lasting results.

Enhanced Flexibility & Mobility

FST can improve range of motion by 35 to 50 percent in a single session — far exceeding static stretching results. Improved flexibility reduces injury risk, enhances movement quality, and translates directly to better performance in any physical activity.

Accelerated Recovery

Reduce muscle soreness, inflammation, and recovery time between workouts or after injury. Cupping and deep tissue work increase blood flow and lymphatic drainage, clearing metabolic waste from muscle tissue and accelerating the repair cycle.

Pain Reduction Without Medication

Address chronic pain patterns, tension headaches, sciatica, and repetitive strain through targeted manual therapy. Myofascial release and deep tissue work resolve the root structural causes of pain rather than masking symptoms.

Fascial Health & Tissue Restoration

Release adhesions, hydrate fascia, and restore the connective tissue network that supports every movement. Healthy fascia is pliable and gliding — restricted fascia creates compensation patterns, postural dysfunction, and chronic pain.

Performance Enhancement

Athletes and active individuals experience improved movement quality, power output, and injury prevention. By restoring fascial mobility and muscular balance, bodywork removes the structural limitations that restrict your peak performance.

Nervous System Regulation

Bodywork activates the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing cortisol, lowering heart rate, and shifting the body out of chronic stress activation. For high-stress professionals and overtraining athletes, this parasympathetic reset is as important as the physical benefits.

Am I a Candidate?

M Health bodywork is designed for…

Our modalities are appropriate for a wide range of clients — from elite athletes to desk workers, from chronic pain sufferers to wellness optimizers. Here are the most common presentations we treat.

01

Athletes and fitness enthusiasts seeking faster recovery

Bodywork accelerates the recovery cycle, reduces DOMS, improves tissue quality, and prevents the overuse injuries that sideline active individuals. Whether you train recreationally or competitively, a structured bodywork protocol gives you a measurable performance edge.

02

Desk workers with chronic neck, shoulder, and back tension

Prolonged sitting creates predictable postural dysfunction — forward head posture, shortened hip flexors, rounded shoulders. Fascial stretch therapy and targeted deep tissue work address the underlying structural imbalances that conventional stretching cannot reach.

03

Anyone with restricted mobility or chronic stiffness

If your range of motion has declined, if certain movements feel blocked or painful, or if you feel consistently tight regardless of how much you stretch, fascial restriction is likely the cause. FST directly addresses fascial adhesions that limit mobility at the joint level.

04

Post-surgical or post-injury patients needing rehabilitation support

Scar tissue, compensatory movement patterns, and tissue adhesions develop after surgery or injury and persist long after the acute healing phase. Myofascial release and targeted manual therapy address these residual restrictions to restore full, pain-free function.

05

Individuals with chronic pain who want drug-free options

Chronic pain conditions — including fibromyalgia, tension headaches, sciatica, and IT band syndrome — often have a significant fascial component. Manual therapy addressing the fascial restrictions underlying these conditions can produce meaningful, lasting relief.

06

M Health members integrating bodywork into their wellness protocol

Every M Health wellness program — hormone optimization, functional wellness, weight loss, and IV therapy — is more effective when supported by regular bodywork. Members use bodywork to manage recovery load, reduce systemic inflammation, and support the physical adaptations their protocol is driving.

Your Experience

What to Expect

Every M Health bodywork session follows a structured process designed to maximize outcomes and give you a clear path forward.

Duration: 10–15 min

Your therapist evaluates your range of motion, posture, movement patterns, and areas of pain or restriction. M Health members have the advantage of their wellness data informing this assessment — if your labs show elevated inflammatory markers or your wellness history includes prior injuries or surgeries, your therapist incorporates this context into the evaluation. The assessment takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes and directly shapes your treatment plan.

What is fascial stretch therapy (FST)?

FST is a table-based assisted stretching technique performed by a certified stretch therapist. Unlike static stretching, FST targets entire fascial chains — the continuous lines of connective tissue running from head to toe — using gentle oscillating movements while you are stabilized on a treatment table with straps. It is pain-free, performed fully clothed, and produces immediate, dramatic improvements in flexibility and range of motion. Most clients experience a 35 to 50 percent improvement in a single session. FST addresses restrictions at the joint capsule level that static stretching and foam rolling cannot reach.

Does cupping leave marks?

Cupping may leave circular marks that range from light pink to dark purple, depending on the amount of stagnation and tension in the tissue being treated. These are not bruises — they are the result of blood and metabolic waste being drawn to the surface for healing and clearance. The marks are not painful and typically fade within 3 to 10 days. Darker marks generally indicate more significant tissue stagnation and often correlate with areas of greater tension or poor circulation. Your therapist will discuss what to expect for your specific areas before applying cupping.

How often should I get bodywork?

For general wellness maintenance, every 2 to 4 weeks is appropriate. For active pain, mobility restrictions, or post-injury rehabilitation, weekly sessions may be recommended initially, tapering as your tissue responds. Athletes in heavy training phases may benefit from 1 to 2 sessions per week to manage recovery load and prevent overuse injury. Your therapist will recommend a specific frequency at the end of your first session based on your goals, current condition, and response to treatment. M Health's monthly packages are designed for clients who want to maintain a consistent protocol at the most cost-effective rate.

Can I combine bodywork with other M Health services?

Absolutely — and we recommend it. Many clients pair bodywork with IV therapy, using our hydration or anti-inflammatory formulas before or after sessions to enhance tissue recovery. Clients on hormone optimization protocols use bodywork to support training recovery as lean muscle rebuilds. Weight loss clients use bodywork to address the postural and fascial changes that accompany significant body composition shifts. Your M Health physician can help you design an integrated protocol that coordinates your bodywork schedule with your other clinical services for optimal results.
